This was another well supported event, featuring twenty Pre-Injection sidecars doing battle over four races in perfect weather conditions. John Shipley / John Ward, after two wins on the Saturday were unfortunately forced to watch the Sunday races after engine problems ruled them out of the second half of the meeting. Their misfortune has helped the other championship contenders to catch up. It was the larger capacity outfits taking the wins, with Simon Horton / Adam Buxton on the Wintec 1100 GSXR Suzuki and Stuart Anderson / Kerry Hughes on their Baker R1 Yamaha sharing the victories. However, it was the Chandler brothers - John and Douglas - who benefitted the most with their 600 Ireson Yamaha, taking podium places all weekend, which sees them leading the championship standings.
